With all the confusion, dissension and desperation in the world today, people of faith seem to agree on one thing: We must remain on the alert. But prophet Faith Marie Baczko of Headstone International Ministries takes this truth to a new level when she proclaims, “We’re in warfare season,” adding that God is calling His people to rise.
“I believe we’re in a really volatile, turbulent season,” she tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. “I don’t see it letting up. Good things may happen. You may see God moving in different ways, as some have been saying. But I think that’s only going to stir up the enemy, because we’re in a war.”
In the midst of this season, God’s people must be ready, Baczko says. “God needs the saints to be fully rooted and grounded in Him and just ready to serve Him. So we need to overcome whatever fears we have; we need to dig down deep and find courage and to stand. It’s a whole new ballgame. So: whole new season, new challenges—we’ve never walked this way before. And God’s saying, ‘Follow Me.'”
Baczko reminds us we’re also in the Sabbath year of rest known as the shmita year. “It’s not a year where we just lie down and rest; it’s a year where we rest in God, and where He’s going to rise up, and we’re going to see Him moving in powerful, powerful ways. And I believe there’s going to be a great release of the supernatural, and He’s going to take over. So we need to let go of our agendas and our mindsets and the way we’ve thought we should do things.”
This shmita rest has a purpose behind it, Baczko says. “I feel God is saying His people need to rise up; heaven is calling for a rising of His people. … He is always taking us from glory to glory, so the glory is increasing in his people. And it says it shall come upon His people and this darkness, that this is our time, this is our time to shine. This is our time to thrive. This is our time of the promises that we’ve been waiting for.”
God moves in ways we can’t anticipate, she explains. “He waits until the darkest times to say, ‘OK, now I’m going to release your ministry, I’m going to give you that business, in the times when you think, How am I going to do this? But then you have to rely on Him to open the doors, to release the promises, to release the finances, to release the divine appointments, everything.
“I believe this is an incredible hour for the saints of God to become who they are created to be. to walk and move in their destiny, and to think beyond the bounds of who they have been in the past season,” Baczko says. “And to just imagine what God can do through their lives and to expect it and to believe it. It’s an exciting time. It’s a scary time. It’s a challenging time. But this is a time we’ve been called to.”
