I saw a news report about mothers who use music to encourage their children to wash their hands more often and for longer periods of time. One mom had her kiddos sing the restaurant-standard-happy-
I wonder if I could do that when someone puts a sombrero on my head and starts singing that little ditty to me?
“Excuse me, singers. I must run to the restroom to wash my hands … but please continue.”
While washing my hands all day today, I’m caught in this mind-rush to sing that song to myself. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit gave me relief from my oppression.
“Why not pray the Lord’s prayer while you wash your hands?”
I’m thankful for the suggestion to pray while I scrub! I’m going to wash my hands and pray the Lord’s prayer every time I hear a viral news story about the coronavirus. I’ll be so clean!
And I will draw closer to the Lord and protect my hands from bug warfare.
Perhaps serving others is more about washing our own hands than washing someone else’s feet.
