Believers know that God often uses dreams to communicate truth. In Scripture, it happened to Jacob. It happened to Joseph. And it happens to people today.
“Sometimes God gives us what’s called a recurring dream, where you have the same dream, and then you have it over and over again,” Michael Snyder tells Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of the Greenelines podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. His own recurring dream, he says, has moved him to make a startling proclamation: The biblical seven-year apocalypse will be here before we know it—and we must be ready.
“The vast majority of people who are alive on earth today are going to enter the seven-year apocalypse,” Snyder says. He came to this conclusion after a recurring dream in which he saw a door, “where thick red blood had completely covered the doorstep and everything around it.”
He knew blood could mean death, war, destruction or almost any negative imagery. But the doorstep added an extra dimension. “In the Bible, when we read something’s ‘at the door,’ well, what does that mean?” Snyder asks. “It means something’s close, something’s near something’s imminent, and something in time or proximity, something’s very, very close.”
After more research, Snyder concluded that the unrest surrounding the election, the violence that has plagued our cities and of course the COVID-19 pandemic all brought an acceleration of death into the world. But he believes the blood on the doorstep in his repeated dream meant an even greater acceleration of death that points to what Scripture describes as a seven-year apocalypse.
“God has warned us in advance,” Snyder says. “In fact, God spent an extraordinary amount of time in the Scriptures very focused on the seven-year period before then Jesus finally returns to this earth, sets up His millennial reign and reigns for 1,000 years.”
Snyder paraphrases Jesus’ Matthew 24 description of the apocalypse this way: “Hey, look, this is going to be the worst time in all human history; there’s never been a time like that before. There’s never going to be a time like it again.”
Snyder says believers must be ready for this terrible time, and he writes about it in his new book, 7-Year Apocalypse. But despite the coming doom, he also sees reason for hope.
“I believe all the shaking, there’s a redemptive purpose in it … Multitudes are going to realize their need for the Messiah,” he explains. “And I believe we’re going to see the greatest harvest of souls in all of human history, and the greatest move of God the world has ever seen.”
