Written in the late 1800s by the largely unknown lawyer and author Ingersoll Lockwood, these obscure novels have recently captured the public imagination with their eerie parallels to modern events and the family of former President Donald J. Trump. YouTube and TikTok videos about these books, and Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump, have garnered millions of views.
The series consists of three novels: “Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger,” “Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey” and “1900: or, The Last President.”

The novels were released amid the growing popularity of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” in 1865 by Lewis Carroll, a mathematics don at Oxford.
In Lockwood’s books, the protagonist is a young boy from an aristocratic family who lives in “Castle Trump.” He embarks on a series of fantastic adventures, guided by a mysterious figure named “Don Fum,” the “great master of all masters.”
In a striking coincidence, Donald Trump’s youngest son is named Barron, which has not gone unnoticed by those intrigued by the novels’ predictions. The image of the boy on the cover of The Baron Trump Collection even resembles Barron Trump.
Lockwood’s works, long forgotten by both literary scholars and the general public, gained newfound attention with Donald Trump’s rise to the presidency. The books describe a character named “Don” who guides young Baron Trump through a world filled with extraordinary, sometimes perilous adventures. The uncanny resemblance between names and circumstances has led many to wonder if these novels were more than just a 19th-century author’s flights of fancy.
