As we continue to approach the return of Christ, our world will continue to grow in darkness. However, what if there are keys that we as believers are supposed to take into consideration when it comes to living in these unprecedented times?
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn gave a message to help guide believers in these pressing times.
- Build your life on the firm foundation of the Word of God.
Using the parable of the two men who built homes, one on a rock and the other on the sand, Cahn points out that the man who built his house on the sand had it wiped away by the storm. However, the man who built his home on the rock was secure when the storm came. In the same way, we are supposed to build our lives on the rock of God’s Word.

- Bind the word of God to your mind.
“Let the Word rule your thought life and you’re going to have a stable thought life. Bind the Word to your actions,” Cahn says. “Whatever you do, make sure it lines up with the Word of God.”
- Become rooted into the things of God.
Cahn points out that we are supposed to be plugged into God through prayer and communion with Him. Each day a believer should place themselves into God’s presence.
- We have to walk in alignment with God’s will.
“A key here is the more out of the will of God you are the more you will not prevail. The more you’ll be overcome. The more in the will of God you are, the more you cannot be overcome and you will overcome,” Cahn says.
- Place your faith in the truth.
Cahn says it is when we place our faith in God, in His truth, it connects us to Him. True faith connects us to God’s salvation and love and it’s how we grow stronger in spirit.

- Remember the Lord.
“It is key in this hour, in this day right now at the end times to remember. Remember. Why? Because the spirit of the age is to make you forget. The spirit of the age is to make you forget God, to forget God’s ways, forget His Word,” says Cahn.
- Praise the Lord.
We are to praise God no matter what we are facing, regardless of the troubles and the situations we see. We are to praise God even in a dark world.
- Do not bow down to the things of this world.
“The enemy wants you to bow down. It wants you to give honor,” Cahn says, “You have to be the one who says ‘I will not. I’m not bowing down to this god, I’m not bowing down to that idol, I’m not bowing down to that falsehood, I’m not bowing down to that political correctness, I’m not bowing down to that golden calf.”
- Don’t wait for the battle to know what you’re going to do.
We all will face battles that require us to make decisions. Instead of determining what to do right then and there, we must prepare with how we will stand up against darkness ahead of time.
- Do Not Be Afraid.
“God is in control, God is on the throne and He has no intention of getting off of the throne,” says Cahn.
- The darkest days produce the most fruit in our lives.
Cahn points out that when we experience greater darkness, with it also comes even bright of a light.
- Repent and return to God.
“The church, the people of God, have to go back to the beginning. They have to go back to when it wasn’t so cultural and comfortable,” Cahn says. “It was radical and revolutionary and prophetic and on fire and all out and they didn’t have a lot of worldly power, but they had a lot of spirit power.”
The world will only continue to get darker and more intense as we approach the very end. However, when we lean into Christ, we can prevail because He has overcome the world.
