“Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (Gen. 5:24,NASB 1995).

Enoch was walking in such unity with the Creator that God simply lifted him off the earth and took him. This is so powerful! I love Scriptures like this because they put us in front of us the supernatural possibilities you and I can experience through our walk with God. Jesus said, “With God all things are possible” (Matt. 19:26b).

Hallelujah and amen!

We are not talking about some religious ideology. We are talking about supernatural reality! Beloved, when we put Him first in our lives, we can attain so much more than we understand right now in our spiritual journey with God. Doing this requires our kavanah (Hebrew for focus/concentration). We need to target all our actions and energy toward God—obeying Him and walking with Him. Beloved, there is no limit to what we can experience if we will truly develop the spiritual power to put God first in all ways. When we do this, just like Enoch, God will take us to a place in Him that we have never been before!

“THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM” (1 Cor. 2:9).

How do we walk with our Creator like Enoch? First, we acknowledge God in everything, and we concede, beloved ones, that our very life is a gift. Every breath we take is a gift from our Creator. We have to be aware of that. We have to recognize that our lives were given to us by our Father. In fact, when someone asks you how you are doing, one of the things that should be on your heart, in order to convey how you are doing, is this, “You know what? I’m doing better than I deserve.”

Every one of us is doing better than we deserve. We did not even earn the right to be here. Nothing we did warranted our coming into being. God gave us the gift of life. God gave us the gift of being conscious. God gave us the gift of today. Your life might be hard right now, but do you know what?

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son” (Rom. 8:28-29).

It may be that what you are going through right now is precisely what is required to move you forward in your walk with God. As difficult as it may be to receive this, it could be the best thing that could be happening to you. It might be hard. It might be painful, but it is exactly what you need.

Do not try to understand your life by just looking at the moment. You have to see the big “God” picture. Father has a divine purpose for you. He has an eternal destiny for you. We can learn from the Shulamite bride in the Song of Songs, who said, “Let the north winds blow and let the south winds blow and open up my heart to You, that you can come and live inside me , in order that Your fragrance will be poured forth through my life” (see Song 4:16).

So, too, beloved children of God, you and I need both the north winds and the south winds. The north winds represent the cold winds, which are contrary and difficult to navigate. But the south winds bring refreshment and comfort. We need the exposure of both in order to fully blossom, to wholly walk with God.

To walk like Enoch, we need to recognize God in everything—both the good times and the bad times. We need to recognize that our very life is a gift. We need to thank Him for everything that is happening in our life today and tomorrow.

“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thess. 5:18b).

If you will practice recognizing God in all things, from the time that you get out of bed in the morning until you go to sleep at night, your walk will reach new heights. If you will believe with all your heart that He is truly Lord. If you will recognize that your life is truly His. If you will practice being grateful to Father no matter what your circumstances are. If you live in this way, you will be well on your way to developing a supernatural platform so you can ascend into the Spirit of Yeshua to walk with your Creator, to walk with God just as Enoch walked.

The most famous declaration in the Hebrew Bible to the Jewish people is called Shema: “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!” (Deut. 6:4).

Beloved, there is only one God, and He is worthy of our full and undivided commitment.
