Why the Enemy Can’t Remove You From Your Seat of Authority

Lightstock

President Trump once said, “They’re not after me; they’re after you.” But it is even more than that.

The present global battle is directed at unseating all authentic authority. The enemy wants to remove you, me, and every leader, parent, teacher, pastor, patriot, etc. from our rightful seats of authority and replace us with frauds.

As Satan continues his attempt to unseat God from His throne, so we see this same battle mirrored across the world, aimed at unseating us from our places of authority. It is an attack against the family, against righteousness and justice, against truth.

In order to stop this assault, we need to take it out by the root, which is ultimately the strongman of pride and jealousy. However, with that stronghold come other minions that must be addressed, including deception, lies and false accusations.

Proverbs 6:16-19 is a list of seven things that are an abomination before God. Liars and false accusers are both named. “Aren’t they the same thing, God?” I asked.

They are not. A liar launches the attack, but those who make false accusations align with the lie and empower it. An example is how the mainstream media has aligned with and parroted lies as false accusers, empowering the liars. These two agents work together, and both must be addressed and uprooted through prayer.

In the Bible, David was certainly the victim of lies and false accusations, as were Joseph and others. In fact, if we look back through history, we see this battle waged to keep or remove someone from his or her seat of authority over and over again.

However, what is notable in many of those cases is the end result for the accuser. Consider King Saul, Absalom, Haman and Pharaoh. In their efforts to unseat authentic leaders, they were the ones removed.

The Word of God is our weapon in any spiritual battle—our two-edged sword. As we speak it out of our mouths, God said He watches over His Word to perform it (Jer. 1:12). He is the Righteous Judge, and as we go before the courts of heaven with His Word, we go with confidence that the attempt to unseat us cannot succeed.

Proverbs 19:5 (NASB1995) states, “A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who tells lies will not escape.”

Some of those who bring false witness actually believe what they are saying. This is where we must uproot the spirit of deception that has convinced them they are on the side of righteousness when in fact they are simply pawns of evil. Consider those who call themselves by the name of Christ who are outraged over the reversal of Roe v. Wade and believe an injustice has been committed against women.

Deception has covered these people as they bought the lies that it is a woman’s “right” and aligned themselves with the liar to be false accusers against righteousness. That is how deception works; it is a twin with offense. Once someone takes offense, deception will always follow through that open door of entry. It also must be uprooted. We should pray “that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (2 Tim. 2:26, NIV).

It is clear that lawsuits have become a key tool utilized in this fight against the righteous. Do not let that scare you. The day President Trump took office, the first of many lawsuits was filed against him in attempt to remove him from his rightful seat of office.

Consider the lawsuits and in some cases jail time against David Daleiden, the whistleblower who effectively exposed Planned Parenthood’s trafficking and selling of baby parts; General Mike Flynn, President Trump’s National Security Advisor; Canadian Pastor Artur Pawlowski, who was jailed for talking with the truckers who were peacefully protesting vaccine mandates in Canada; and Mike Lindell and Clay Clark, the leaders of the ReAwaken America Tours who have tirelessly worked to expose election fraud and have had lawsuits filed against them by fraudsters.

What do each of these examples have in common? Liars have worked to unseat those in authority and remove them from their effective work.

In the Bible, Sanballat tried to remove Nehemiah as Nehemiah rose up to lead the rebuilding of the walls to protect Jerusalem. Sanballat tried to convince the king that Nehemiah was plotting against him. But Nehemiah refused to fear. He refused to stop the work and come down off the wall. History repeats itself, as that battle is playing out right before us today.

Each of these attacks above has a common denominator: Lies and false allegations were utilized to silence and remove people from their seats of authority.

Here is what the Lord says:

“For your arrogance has brought you low, and your pride will be your undoing. You point the finger and you make your plans but they will come to nothing and the evil you have planned will come back upon your own head.

“The words from your own mouth and from your own hand testify against you. You have struck out at the righteous, but they will be vindicated by the cleanness of their hands, and you will fall into the pit you have dug for them. Like Haman you plotted and schemed because of your pride, which turned to murderous intent. As you try to remove them from power, it is you who will be removed and become as nothing and nonexistent. People will look around and say, ‘Where did they go? What happened to their accusations?’ Your false accusations will bring shame and dishonor on your own head, and you will be the one removed.

“So lift up your eyes and keep your eyes on Me,” says the Lord. “See that I am He who delivers you. For false witnesses will not go unpunished, and he who utters lies will not escape. Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am Your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you and I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

If you are in the middle of such a battle, as many are right now, plant your feet firmly on the Word of God. Do not be shaken, for God will deliver you as His Word declares.

Psalm 31:18-20 is clear: “Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues” (KJV, emphasis added).

If you look up the definition of “strife of tongues” in the Hebrew, it actually would be better translated “conspiracies of man, contentions, divisions and lawsuits.”

Be confident that no matter what lies, accusations or lawsuits are filed against us and against our leaders to remove us from our authentic seats of authority, we have the truth of the Word as our vindicator.

They may conspire against you, but they will not win. For the Word declares, “‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage [inheritance] of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the Lord” (Isa. 54:17, NIV).
