Hit Life’s Curve Balls to Win

Victory isn’t served up on a silver platter most times. It’s won.

When a baseball team plays a game, much work has taken place the audience never sees.

Behind the scenes, before the big game, there have been countless hours of training:

— Long hot drills to sharpen the batter’s keen ability to make contact with the ball.

— Practice games to learn how to work together as a team.

— Grueling workouts to build strength and stamina.

When the game is on, everything is in place to score a winning game.

Your life, my friend, also includes many long hours of training no one sees, many times when you contemplate giving up—still you persevere, and all of these experiences are building you up to win. But only if you choose to connect the dots.

When life throws you a curve ball, all the life preparation you’ve gone through comes into play. It is not a lost cause. Though many have given up hope, suffering with illness, discouragement and depression, there is a path to victory for you.

Don’t give up.

Like the batter who swings his bat to make powerful contact with the ball, hurling it into the stands as a home run, you have a curve ball coming toward you, and this is your moment to pull on all your dreams, prayers and experience to make contact and hit a winning run in your life, dreams and work.

My friend Jordi Bostock did just that during the 2020 pandemic.

She poured her time, energy and resources into creating a reality show, and 12 shows were all ready to go when everything shut down.

Her reality show project was stopped, but just at that moment as the curve ball of 2020 came toward her, she had a winning revelation that changed everything.
