Eric Gilmour of Sonship International powerfully shares on a recent episode of Live Your Best Life with Liz Wright. He speaks from the heart about the importance of our utter devotion and abandonment to Christ. He simply encourages us that “those that are struggling in their lives need a fresh vision of Jesus.”
Looking at John’s vision in Revelation 1:17, Eric believes that “the greatest thing that could happen in the church right now is that we would have a vision of Christ in His beauty that would cause us to fall to the feet of Jesus … and have all the things that have been plaguing us become powerless at His feet.”
You can’t find anything in the world more valuable to look at than Jesus. There is no reason to look away and a million reasons to not. In looking at Him, we receive life. Eric shares that “I fail to live to the exact degree that I fail to look.” He shares a transformational experience with God that left him with a ruthless devotion to stay abiding in Him.
This passionate focus on God pulls us up and away from the cares of this world and even from our own self. This way of living redefines sin. He is not risk-managing your behavior, because refusing to sin is trumped by refusing to depart from His feet.
Eric prays over every believer that there would be a bursting up of the love of God shed abroad in their hearts. Receive fresh love for Jesus today and a burning, jealous desire to spend time with Him. Be blessed to stay connected to God throughout the whole day with an increased longing for His presence.
