Do you feel as though God is inviting you into a higher place of encounter with Him? On this episode of the Voice of the Burning Ones with Tammie Southerland on the Charisma Podcast Network you’ll find out how you’re called to live a set-apart life and how the enemy will attempt to dissuade you from walking in that fullness.
Southerland says that when you’re set apart and you’re consecrated to God, “nothing compares to His glory, nothing compares to His presence.” Because nothing can or ever will compare to this glorious place, “you’ll never be satisfied without His presence once you taste and see that He is good.”
The devil may try to undermine this place by planting lies in our heads. He might try to say that it is a place of isolation and loneliness. But Southerland counteracts this lie by reassuring us, “When He draws you deeper, He’s not going away.”
The devil might try to say that you give up everything when you are more deeply ushered into God’s presence. When that happens, Southerland says to remind yourself, “Nothing matters in the light of His glory whenever He is your reward. You don’t feel like you lost anything when you give things up for His glory.”
It all comes down to realizing that “He’s called you to go to battle with Him. He’s called you into rest with Him. He’s called you into eternity with Him.” Will you join Him? {eoa}
