When I drive on highways, I know I’ll need a bucket of patience to cope with the lane changers. But it’s even more frustrating to handle lane changers in the workplace.

Our work quality improves when we stay in our lane.

When we stay in our lane, we work in our strengths. Many of us have secondary strengths and other things we do fairly well.

When we try to work in someone else’s strengths, we rob them of the opportunity to work in their calling. And no one grows.

And quality declines.
