Recently, in a time of corporate prayer, the Lord began to speak to me about being prophetically determined. We all have prophetic words God has given us. We may have gotten them from an intercessor at a prayer meeting, from a minister at a conference, or God could have spoken straight to our spirit about something. When we first receive a prophetic word, we are excited! We tell our trusted friends, our leaders, our family—but then time passes and we often forget. And even if we don’t forget it, many times, we simply don’t do anything with it.
God doesn’t give us prophetic words just to excite us, make us feel good or for us to just sit on them. God gives us prophetic words and promises, but it is our responsibility to steward them. If you have forgotten words God has spoken to you in the past, dig them back up! Find your prophetic journal, the tape, CD or voice memo. Find them, wherever those words are, and begin to go back over all the prophetic words God has given to you. The greatest joy you will ever experience is when you are 100 percent stewarding the prophetic words God has spoken over your life.
Pray over them. Seek the Lord about the timing of them and begin to properly steward them. Begin to envision those prophetic words coming to pass and prepare for them. If you can see it in the spirit and in your mind, you can see it happen in the natural!
Every prophetic word has an assignment and a process attached to it. When you steward your prophetic words, the enemy will fight you. The enemy knows that your prophetic word is already established in heaven but is waiting on you to manifest it in the earth. Don’t back up when you encounter difficulty as you pursue and steward your prophetic words. You have to become prophetically determined to see each one come to pass.
Some of you have been hanging onto prophetic words for years, but now is the season to become determined to see them manifested. Always remember, what God promises you prophetically is never just about you. Whatever God has prophesied over you is for His kingdom to be advanced to set other people free. God doesn’t just give us prophetic words to benefit us.
Many people will pray and pray over their prophetic words but never move into action. Others will put all their effort into preparing and acting on the prophetic word but never pray into it. We must do both to properly steward our prophetic words. We must throw our entire life into the prophetic word God has declared over us. We can’t be half-hearted or easily talked out of it; we must be prophetically determined. We must have a tenacity to see the prophetic words God has spoken over our lives come to full fruition. {eoa}
