Economic collapse, predictions of judgment pending and having entered the year of the Super Shemitah can be troublesome for most, but how do we proceed forward as we await for prophecies to be fulfilled and the impending doom that is being discussed?
As Christians, we are to proceed forward in faith. We are to live by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7), with our hope and trust in the Lord Yeshua who is the provider of all things. We are not to live in fear and worry (Phil. 4:6), which is sin, but in the hope of the coming day of our resurrected Lord.
If we sit around on pins and needles, glued to the television or stock market reports, we are being unproductive and unfruitful for the kingdom. Now is a time to prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord and for being the salt and the light, (Matt. 5) in a dark and deteriorating world. Now is the time to get in the Word and study what the Word says, so that we are not deceived in the end times.
Our hope and faith is in the Lord (1 Pet. 1:21), not in what happens in this world. We belong to a kingdom not of this world, (John 18:36). We are kingdom beings, living in this world while we await our eternal inheritance, (Heb. 9:15). We need to walk like it, talk like it and act like it. If we are talking worry, fear and wondering if we will have enough and be able to get through it, then where is our faith? We need to have faith and trust that God is our provider, that if He cares for the sparrows, (Luke 12:7) how much more will He care for us?
Believing and hoping, eagerly expecting His return is where our faith should be. We don’t have time to worry, fear, and sink into depression because we know the world is going to endure some hard times. Jesus said, in John 16:33 “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.” He has overcome, and since His Spirit resides in us, we are overcomers, because we are partakers of Him (Heb. 3:14)!
Therefore, as predictions come forth, as prophecies begin to be fulfilled and even if chaos begins to break out, have faith. The God who created this world, this very universe, holds you in the palm of His hand. He loves you and cares for you deeply. Meditate on the positive, rely on the word of God and see that the God who rescued people in the Bible is still in the rescuing business today. He cares so much for you.
Take your life, your family, your business, and your needs and put it in the Father’s hands and walk in faith, not fear. Don’t sit around on pins and needles waiting to see what is going to happen, get busy advancing the kingdom, sharing the love of the Father and making sure you are in right standing with Him.
