3 Keys to Personal Revival Day by Day

There are several keys to daily personal revival.

From the very beginning of time as we know it, God created mankind for daily communication and fellowship. In Genesis 1:26, God Himself said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

If God gives you dominion, this means you need to talk daily to take care of what the Lord has entrusted you with. Genesis states that God would come down in the cool of the day to meet with Adam and Eve. My God is highly relational.

The Word says in Mark 1:35, “In the morning, rising up a great while before sunrise, He went out and departed to a solitary place. And there He prayed.” Before the rest of the world and disciples got up, Jesus was up talking to God the Father. The first voice of the day that Jesus would hear was going to be God’s. What could and would happen if we lived as Jesus did and made God’s voice the priority of our morning?

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

I really like the part that says lean not on to your own understanding. When we have a daily time with God and bring our life before Him, we can lean on Him and His ways and wisdom. So many times we get busy and rush through life and do good things, but that doesn’t mean we did “God things.”

In Luke 9:23 Jesus says, “If anyone will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” The three key words that stick out to me cross, daily and follow. The cross is symbolic to death, which means you die to yourself, daily means you do this daily and follow means you come after God with a heart that’s dead to flesh and you do this every day. If we would lean toward God’s destiny for our life and die to the flesh daily we would have a personal revival that could change many lives for the kingdom.

This is the heart of the Father: “Then you shall call upon Me, and you shall come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you” (Jer. 29:12).

The Word clearly proclaims in James 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” The craziest thing I see is that people aren’t drawing near to God. If we need something fixed shouldn’t to take it to the one who created it. The Bible is full of Scriptures of God inviting us to have daily times of building a lifelong relationship full of encounters and fellowship that will guide us in life.

The Lord has even been so kind to us to say: “Hey, why don’t you call Me sometime. I’d love to talk.” Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” The Lord is saying, “If you call, I’ll answer and answer the things that are on your heart.”

Basically God the Father is saying whatever you need an answer to I have and I want to give it to you. All you have to do is ask God:  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened” (Matt. 7:7-8).

God has a great plan for your life and it’s found in the daily times you spend with Him. God wants you to know Him intimately and know He is there for you. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” So why don’t you go get the future that God has for you!
