This artist believes it is his calling to study the Word and put truths to music so believers’ lives can be changed as they declare the Word of God. This album showcases this call. The rock anthem “God Reigns Here” was inspired on a missions trip to Wales. Fifty years ago 166 school children died there in a landslide and Waller sensed oppression still hovered over the town. But he knows that God reigns, and he declared that over the city. This song rebukes the spirits destined to wreak havoc such as death, anxiety and fear. “Faith Is Living” is an upbeat declaration that we’re not really living until we’ve lived by faith. The lovely “Cling to the Call” reminds us to hold on to the one who is leading us no matter the circumstances. The hymn-like “Perfect Peace” will be a balm to listeners’ spirits especially in these uncertain times.
